Welcome to the Sun Inn, Cottesmore
Cottesmore (pronounced Cotts'more as a result of its origins as Cotts Moor) is a picturesque stone village in the unspoilt county of Rutland. The local honey coloured stone, evident throughout all of the county, is well represented in Cottesmore and the village has been designated as a Conservation Area. Thatch is also used in a number of distinctive older, and modern, properties including the Sun Inn!
The Sun Inn is as pretty as the proverbial picture, the 17th century inn looks like everyone's idea of the quintessential English country pub, with its tidy thatched roof, whitewashed walls, hanging baskets and flagstoned courtyard. Inside it maintains its charms, thanks to flagged floors and beamed ceilings.
We are proud of our great food menu which offers freshly prepared traditional dishes, using local produce where possible, complimented by a fantastic range of cask conditioned hand pulled ales, fine wines and speciality coffees.
Whatever the reason for visiting the Sun Inn you will receive a warm welcome from all the team.
