A message from new owners Mark & Louise

Hello We took over The Sun Inn on 20th January 2025. We closed for one week for a 'freshen up' and reopened on Wednesday 29th January 2025. We have slowly (hopefully) started to improve the pub, we have painted throughout inside replacing carpets and also replaced the outdoor furniture to the front of the pub and the back patio. September 2025 we painted the Rutland Room (function space) and replaced all the furniture ready for Christmas parties! Later in 2026 (date still tbc pending planning application) we are undergoing a planned R&R (repair & restoration) which will see many outside improvements that are urgently needed. There will be an update to the back patio and the Sun Room to the rear of the bar. The overgrown rear beer garden (currently closed off) will at some stage thrive again being a safe place for outdoor entertainment, children, families and dogs. We also hope to resurrect the petanque pitch. Watch this space we have many plans it will just take a little time! We have enjoyed meeting you all and being part of the community of Cottesmore.
