Comedy Night
2026 Schedule first Wednesday in February, May, September and December
Just a reminder to book online for the next Comedy night at The Sun Inn Rutland, Cottesmore. At least 5 comedians will entertain, under the stewardship of Ian Hayes Comedian, bringing you their freshest material. It could be a brand new act looking for stage time, or a pro act just sharpening their material; What they could be is the next big thing.

Lighting of the Christmas tree
Christmas tree lighting in Cottesmore at The Sun Inn
We get a huge beautiful tree from Digby Farm and turn on the lights with the community on Sunday 29th December 2026 at 6pm
There will be carol singers Cottesmore Military wives choir everyone can sing along, warm mince pies, mulled wine 🍷 and a cosy pub fire 🔥 inside

50th Bucket Night

Bucket night, traditionally held on the last Sunday before Christmas.
A fun night which includes lots of singing of the bucket song every time someone buys a bucket of beer (8 pints) and the bell 🔔 rings
